it might have to do your given rating of 1200. so you are an unknown and many don't want to play not knowing your exact skill level. I know its lame just keep accepting seeks and you will get a game or 10 million going. GL!

yeah, it's probably that people intimidated by the provisional rating, just get several games under your belt and things should be back to normal. Chess.com also has a policy to prevent such abandons, like if a user abandons games frequently, their play in live chess will be restricted until they play a certain number of games without violating the policy.

New to chess as well as this site and am a little disappointed that when I try to play a live game all of my opponents bail before they even make a move. Do I have to upgrade or what's up?
