Its lag. Thats the way it has always been
new time rules in bullet with blacks clock starting when white moves, why?
No, this is not lag. I've also noticed this only a few days ago. It used be the case previously that when a new game loaded, both clocks were at 1:00. White's clock would begin to count down as soon as white moved, and Black's clock was still set to 1:00 until Black moved.
Now, as soon as a game loads, White's clocks begins to count down after about one second, irrespective of wheather White moves or not, and then Black's clock begins to count down before Black has moved!!
Indeed - I'm still seeing it today and didn't see it at all before, say, a week ago.
In case it's relevant, I'm running Firefox 37.0.1 on Windows 7.

So it IS an enhancement after all. To the Staff who might read this, these changes are less than a week old (well the blog post is dated April 9), these kind of announcements should be made sticky to the front page of the website and in FAQ etc - many people don't read the forum very often if at all - in fact it might have been (maybe even still) smart to splash this across the Live Chess page.
i have noticed today in bullet games that the black clock also starts going down when white makes it's first move, it was never like this before, what is the purpose of this new rule? It simply punishes people with inconsistent internet whose live games consoles can take longer to load, it's not fair if when my board shows i am already down 5 or 10 seconds. can anyone explain this.
