I have won a game with checkmate against Tanvir_ R (1305).  I havebeen declared winner by checkmate but neither I have been awarded the game point nor the grading of my apponent redused as if the the was a Draw. Is there no one to look into Such flabrant voilation of rules of the game.  If the management cannot adhere to the rules, such a site should be closed.

You probably were playing an unrated game.

You owe Chess.com an apology. Your game was properly recorded as an unrated game with Tanveer.

I in all sicerty state that I have not made any alegation which is not based on facts.Firstly

I have not played any game with any UNRATED PLAYER. Secondly I have noticed that when ever I was not awarded on wining the same player in second play was awarded when I lost. how come  between two consecutive games first game is Unrated and the second is  rated. kindly put me wiser I am new to this live game.Thirdly.

You allow all sorts of spoiled Brats, Equal to my grand sons to call me all sorts of NAMES  It only shows their faulty Upbringing or their Rowdy culture. I DO NOT CARE A BIT FOR RATING POINTS. I WANT ONLY TO EXERCISE MY THINKING FACULTIES.  May I tell you I enjoy playing with my mild whisky & soda prior to my diner and Gin and Lime prior to my Lunch. My right hand has started Shaking Which drops the Pieces at rong places me to loose vital peices resulting my Some of the Resignations. Lastly

I have pointed out the irregularties, if you do not want to rectify, it is upto you. Thanks. ID

IDSHARMA, sorry about the names people have been calling you. Hopefully they are not the majority of the people here. You can report them using the Help & Support link below each chess.com page. (click contact support in that page.)

Now, let me explain what "unrated" means.

1) You're right, there are no "unrated" opponents. It's the *games* that are unrated.

2) When you log into live chess, you see a graph on the right, that views challenges as small green disks, right?

Now, the disks that have a WHITE HOLE represent the challenges to games that are UNRATED.

The FULL GREEN disks are RATED games. If you want to only play rated games, accept only the challenges with the full green disks.

3) If you're putting up a challenge yourself, when you click on "start new game," make sure it says RATED in the low left of the settings window, not UNRATED.

4) If you're viewing the challenges in listed format, the games that have a "u" letter next to them are UNRATED. If you want to play RATED games, avoid the challenges with a "u".

This guy's demonstrated repeatedly that he's just too thick to get it.  I'll bet most of the names his grandkids call him are pretty acurate.

1. Click on "Details".

2. Observe "Unrated" status of game.

3. Button it.

Your instructions may be written too precisely for some people.  In order to make them sound more instructionarily official, it sometimes helps to use Babelfish to convert them to Japanese and then back into English:

1. Acquire the detail.
2. Observe the not yet designated state of the game.
3. Use the button on that.
