One minute chess

Who came up with this arbitrary time limit?  I think its too long.  One minute chess seems to take forever.  I find my mind wandering and sometimes it seems like a veritable eternity.

I'd like to play some 10 second games or something.

yes i would like to play 30 second games. but not many would. 10 seconds seems a bit silly to me.

It's already two minutes. Add the lag time added after each move and it's almost like a mundane blitz game.
