Sounds like you disconnected and then closed the window.
Opponent disconnect and they win

Yes -- it's not always immediately obvious who's disconnected. If you didn't get an alert that it was your opponent, though, it was likely actually you and you just didn't wait around long enough to get the pop-up that tells you so.

The game chat screen said (my opponent) has disconnected--nothing more! And I was observing someone else's game when the incident happened, and it didn't effect it at all.
Any game you win because someone's connection to Live chess is not a win. Yes, you might want to call it that. But winning is not winning if you win against someone you can overmatch. Winning is about stragedy and making it difficult for someone else better than you to win you or to dominate, counter your stragedy and make no blunders. I am always thankful when someone beat me and marvel with a good player gets me into checkmate so early. I've only played one player that I know beat me in 45 seconds, moving over 20 times. That person must have been pro, cause it wasn't on this board and did those 20 moves in the last 45 seconds of this timer. Shocked I was.
My opponent disconnected, and it didn't give me victory! I waited til the time ran out, but it didn't even give me time-out victory! So I closed the window, and the chat screen said, (my opponent) vs. Psychomath--(my opponent) won by resignation!! If someone could tell me what happened and fix it, that would be great.
