Sorry, it is live quick chess, we can't wait forever. Your opponent wouldn't be happy to wait that long for you to come back and they wouldn't know if you ever come back or not.

Unfortunately, live chess is dominated by spiteful bullet players. If their opponent's had to wait 5 minutes for the game to end when they huffed off in a tantrum after getting in a losing position, all heck would break loose.
all im asking is to increase the time from 2 mins to 5mins. i dont thing 5 mins is too long, anyway the opponent will play for another 9-10 mins, beside its my time that is going. just 5 minutes.
this is just a suggestion.

The point that they were trying to make was that while maybe YOU don't think 5 mins is too long, a lot of other people do.

ok, I'm playing live chess on chess.com and my net got disconnected for 2 minutes, when i re login, i lost the game!!, i was in a winning position and was about to capture his queen, here's the link.

I suggest chess.com changes the time from 2-3 minutes to atleast 5-6 minutes,
