Rampant Redirects in Live Chess Bug

Hi all,

Recently live chess has been redirecting to scam sites after some games.  Im on safari and this has been a bug getting bigger on major websites last few months on multiple browsers.  I hadnt noticed it on chess.com before.  Its supposed to be caused by javascript hooks in malitious ads served through regular ad services suches as Google ads.  Seems to be caused by some of the ads appearing after a game is finished.  Wondering if anyone else experiencing this?

Hope that chess.com will be aware of this issue.  Its not an issue with chess.com itself but maybe the chess.com team can place the ad somewhere else until their ad content provider issues a fix? Thanks for reading.

Its really the browsers job to not respond to these redirects but afaik apple has been ignoring it and google made a statement but hasnt fixed it.  Still annoying

This happend to me a a few months ago.  After every game a popup.  I had to stop playing on chrome browser.  On my android phone btw.

I'm experiencing this. It redirects to an ad on today.giftcardsok6.icu which shows an alert(). Wondered how this happened...

I installed an extension that blocks all non-HTTPS links, and saw that it's going to http://campaigntracking.club

With the extension turned on, it fails to load the ads, but it still interrupts my experience on chess.com

Theres no way to stop it unless the browser is updated to specifically fix the issue, or google changes its algorithms in the screening process for ads.  Ive switched to lichess meanwhile

I eventually got a diamond subscription, which solves the issue for me. I'm not sure if the annoying ads got me to get a subscription quicker because I wanted to get rid of the annoyance, or slower because it made me like chess/com a bit less...
