We are currently checking what's the best approach here. Perhaps we'll only allow a single RD reset instead of real rating reset. That should be good enough.
And while we're at it, how about a choice between Glicko and ELO? Say, maybe you could decide between rated and unrated after the game has been concluded. I think the morning java just kicked in, I'll stop now...

So nobody would lose any points anymore, right? How would that be beneficial to the Chess.com community if our ratings were totally off?

Well, yeah ... your suggestion to have the option to switch between Glicko and ELO was sound enough and I merely presumed you were having a bad idea for every good one.
