Really Laggy?

Is it just me or is livechess getting really laggy recently?  It seems to happen to me every now and then at different times in the game, but weirdly it also can be fine all game but then it happens basically every single time my time gets low.  Am I imagining it, or does chess.com do some weird stuff when clocks get low?  It's ruining so many games now, because I find it so distracting, and it's costing me time too.  Sometimes it will lag so badly it will just drop the piece back on its original square and refuse to let me pick it up again without laggily trying to deselect it first. 

FWIW most of this site is apparently extremely laggy for me now.  This chat box is sometimes several words behind what I'm typing.  Again, I'm wondering if it's just me with some browser issue? or do other people experience the same thing?

No, thank you, I will try them, but I don't think they will make a difference.  It's very suspicious how it appears, and it would seem that a connection issue would be more random than it appears to me to be.  It's possible that I just notice it more, but it really seems to be far more of an issue when I get low on time, and it never used to lag like this except with certain problem ads (which was another stupid problem—something is badly wrong somewhere if one additional .gif can cause such problems).  It also doesn't explain the massive lag I'm getting just typing in this box here on the forums. 

I just have to ask, are you using v3?

yes this is not fun anymore, to many games i dont played full game because off this game disconnected

I'm using whatever the latest version is.  There must be some really weird stuff going on behind the scenes.  I get low on time and it gets really laggy; the instant it's game over and I rematch and it's suddenly as smooth as silk, for a few moves at least.  It's definitely doing something it shouldn't be.  If it was a more general browser or connection problem then it would stay laggy, surely?  It's like something behind the scenes is getting jammed up with junk while I'm playing and then it flushes it all when I start a new game. 

OK, so everything seems to work just fine in Edge, at least as far as lag is concerned.  Turns out Firefox is still just a complete pig of a browser.  God only knows what it's doing.  Only problems now are 1) I have to use Edge, and 2) Like with a lot of sites, apparently Edge doesn't want to display the chess.com favicon on my favourites bar.  

I have the same issue. it's as if I have about half the time of the game. I always end up losing but running out of time :(

I had to switch back to v2 live.  For awhile v3 live was better and v2 live was costing me 5secs a game...now it's v3.  And v3 is completely and utterly horrible.  Focus mode is junk because there isn't ENOUGH to get a new game...anyway, the regular v3 is, well, how do I put this, dangerous if you are susceptible to seizures?  The regular back and forth of the clocks, lighting up and going dark...it's enough to drive you mad.

Has any of the devs looked at how ridiculous that blinking back and forth is in bullet chess.  It's mind bogglingly terrible.

I went back to v2 tonight because I couldn't take it anymore with the blinking and the crazy lag.  I mean CRAZY.  Holy cow.
