Strange freeze

I wonder if this is a flaw or deliberate?
I cannot believe it being deliberate... it spoiled a very intriguing and enjoyable game and my opponent was very frustrated and wanting to punish my blunders/ miscalculations...
Same kind freezeing is happening here too. It's actually everywhere on chess.com site. Every 4-5 seconds everything freezes for half a seconds. And what makes things even worse there's constantly some kinds micro stuttering/delay on everything. I'm using latest version of Chrome. It was fine a week ago.
I also experienced intermittent freezing for periods greater than 30 seconds during a live game yesterday

Replying to my earlier post. It appears that freezing in my case was causing the latest versions of Google Chrome v71. Now i'm using Mozilla Firefox v64 and everything is as smooth as it could be.

@Naarmu - agree, Google Chrome sux. Had similar problems with. It became much better after I swap to Mozilla Firefox and its forks.
FYI I have Google Chrome Only happened once
Ok. I tried Chrome once more. This time I ran it as administrator and everything works just fine. This is VERY strange.
I was just playing someone and the board froze. I could not move my pieces! The guy offered a draw which I accepted but what is going on? Has anyone had this happen to them? It happened during my game on Dec 29th
