No doubt this situation has got people's backs up and this subject has had it's fair share of rants, buuut... I'm curious to know if chess.com mods send emails/messages to users who seemingly let the clock run down instead of resigning when their luck is down in the game? Emails/messa

Yeah, I literally just reported someone for milking the clock waiting for me to close the app. He waited 15 minutes and I thought I'd get a notif. I didn't, so I lost.

I'm sorry to hear that dooksta123. So am I right in thinking that you waited 15 minutes for a notification but got fed up and chose to quit? I don't blame you for doing that and it seems unfair that you lost as a result. I thought that since the website update that if an opponent did not make a move for a certain time - such as 1 minute 30 seconds or something - the win would go to the person still playing and it would be classed as "game abandoned". I wonder if it depends how far into the game both opponents are. Maybe one of the chess.com moderators can explain why you were kept waiting 15 minutes??
