Winning a game just by having your opponent hang a piece is common until about ~1600 rating. After that, you can't just wait for them to blunder. You have to be able to take advantage of small inaccuracies they make, and of course: defend yourself from their attack.

Everyone else says chess is a game of strategy. This would be true if chess was not made for human beings. You do not need a strategy to win every chess game. You do not need a strategy to win any of them. All you have to do is play, and wait for your opponent to make their mistake. I will even advise that you LET them take a few peices because humans get CARELESS when only when things are going good for them. You might not see the mistake every time, but trust me, its there. They see it more often. But u can change that.Remember, never give away your queen....
