Time Choices explanation

Sorry if this has been covered or easily explained else where but I dont understand the time choices when looking for a live game:

5 | 2
15 | 10
2 | 1  etc

30 minute etc is self explenatry but can someone explain to me what the above options actually mean.

5 | 2: This means each player starts off with 5 minutes, and then 2 seconds are added on after you move.

15 | 10: Same thing. You start off with 15 minutes, and 10 seconds are added on after you move.

2 | 1: Same idea as the others, only less time
