Time out question

I'm newish to this site so maybe I have to learn why. I've played a couple of people on here that when they are losing they don't move and just let the time run out. I'm sitting there waiting for them to move and then after 5/10 mins etc I end up wining on time. I've lost games in Live Chess but I think it's a bit unfair not to move when the opponent is waiting for the move. If they know that they have lost why don't they just resign?

Because they're childish, spiteful and all around poor sports.

Block them and move on to an opponent who's more worthy of your time.

yeah there are some idiots who do this in live chess. it is rude, but there's not much you can do about it. i personally take the win and then add the player to my blocked list so i never have to deal with them again.
