From my own experience, if I am hovering over a square with a piece when the time runs out, I will still see the move on my move on the board and the analysis board immediately after the game. However, the move shouldn't be viewable after the game. You could consider reporting a bug if it still bothers you.

So I've noticed what I believe is a flaw with timed games. Frequently when playing timed games but specifically games with bonus time, that at times I lose a game when my time runs out. However, I know that I made my move before time expired, in fact, when reviewing analysis it will show me my last move as a part of the game. If the time ran out truly before I made my move then my last move shouldn't be included because it happened after time expired. Very frustrating to see it included even though I lost on time. Seems like a problem with the software
