Timer and other issues

I have been skeptical about the timers in this online chess as well as other chess games. So I finally played a game while watching the timer. Although I realize that this still might be construed as paranoia, I now have proof positive for myself and after many years am confident, at least, that there is interference externally. Who else has noticed such things? I'd like to hear about them and your theories for such.

I don't want to be an alarmist. Carry on.

I know what you mean sometimes if your connection speed is low your screen will go white yet your timer will still run

Alien intervention. It's the only plausible theory we have at this point. Occam's razor, dishwasher, and vacuum are the most reasonable methods to truth.

What exactly is happening with the timers? Usually when you see them acting "strange", it's caused by lag.

Moneychess16, what you're experiencing is caused by a disconnect from the live chess server :-)
