So, i've seen a few people talk about the timer in their daily chess games don't move, and it seems the reason has always been the vacation option. I haven't had that turned on at any point, and it isn't turned on right now, but around 1 in every 15 games or so, has a time that runs, the rest of the games start and end at 24 hours played. Some guy just used 5 hours on the first move as black, and is still on 24 hours too. Now, I understand that there's the vacation option, but there's no way that i'm going to believe that almost everybody has it on, all the time
Anybody got anything else to add that could be the reason?
Daily games are per move. So, after a move is played, clocks reset to 24 hours, or whatever the time control is, and the other player's clock starts.
