Timing out a game

I don't believe the chess clock. I just had 1.4 seconds to make a move and it timed me out dropping to zero 'you timed out on the move xyz'. It did this instantly without any time elapse. what the hell.
I post this here with that as an example, I feel like I see it regularly.

The move has to make it from your device to the server before the block on the server runs out of tome. The site allows a certain amount of lag, but if you're experiencing large amounts, it's very possible for the move not to to reach the server in time.

Some things you can do to minimize issues:

Martin - thanks for the reply. I've checked the link. But I still don't believe it. I just lost a game at 0.7 seconds. It gave me zero seconds, I know what 0.7 seconds looks like. I just dragged the queen 3 squares and it was done.
