Try a chess variant!!!

Sort:

Here's a game I recently played with a chess buddy. The goal is to (forcibly) have the opponent take all your major and minor pieces to win. The following game is one example of a chess variant, in which I claim no expertise in (yet). Lightly annotated:

The take home message is to try something new in live chess. I've shown you one variant - It might turn out to be fun for you as well. Make the games unrated if you'd prefer. Talk to your opponents and make friends!

I don't understand your variant. I played for the first time yesterday where you MUST capture if you can, and to win lose all pawns and pieces. It must much fun!

Somewhat similar to suicide chess - except that captures are not compulsory and the king cannot be captured.

I like Extinction best ... it retains the general nature and skillfulness of the regular game, but removes computers and 'book' as factors.
