Heh. I love reason number 2 you have listed and also describes why I would decline a rematch. ;).
What does mean, when a player refuse to rematch ?

People may know your opening or strategy after a match, so in the rematch they will use a counterstrategy.
yes, many times in bullet this happen in oppening i will lose heavy pieces.

If I refuse a rematch it means:
I am too sober to play good chess you have kicked my ass too painfully to let you do it again I just fell asleep because of being too drunk or cannot find the mouse with my hand I desperately need to piss off after my 8th beer it is already 5AM (in my country) and I really need to sleep I cannot operate my PC anymore after puking or pissing off my keyboard and mouse (happened to me twice when I mixed beer, cheap wine, vodka and 4 boxes of unfiltered cigarettes)lol, that's right

you aren't supposed to lose heavy pieces in the opening, even in bullet. just saying :P
i will sometimes in silly moves in openning

i try to play at least 1 rematch, so me and my opponent have eaqual chance.
but in tournaments you play only 1 game with a person with no rematch, be ready for tournaments
sorry if my english is not good enough!

so you have to play the best you can. in chess there is no second chance. if you lose and did not give you a rematch, its ok, try another time its not the end of the world. look for easier opponent. LOL

I can't sit still for a period longer than the average game.
actually i mean in bullet games not long time, if i play long then it will be only one game a day max.

I think players refuse to rematch for one of the two reasons: 1) They dont think they are up for you. 2) They think u are not up for him/her. Occasionally,it can be because they do not have sufficient time for another match.
I don't rematch often because I just dont wan't to. Most likely, during the first game with them, I was multitasking and was lucky to get through that game! :) By the tme, I can sit and play several, I may not really want to through my points away to someone with whom I just lost to and know it'll be another dead loss. Is really no biggie, really. Just move on to the next player and don't sweat it!

If I wanted to play the same person multiple times, I would play a friend, not some random stranger on the internet.

I never play Bullet, but I can imagine that not receiving a rematch under those rapid time controls must be kinda frustrating, hehe.
Still, your opponent is not necessarily running away from u ...

Good point knight.. I decided to play someone different the other day, instead of my friends I play repeatedly. WEll, I won and the person says after I said the usual good game, which it was.. "go away". So there ya go, if they are strangers, it's usually one game, unless they are interesting and actually are enjoyable to talk with , whether its about the chess movesor the weather!
