I heard that's a myth that he even said that.

"But it will emerge from my dialogue with the American people. I've traveled to every part of this country during the last six years. During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet."

That shows how the media exploits people's gullibility to further it's own agenda, and how often people don't have the sense to question these supposed statements.

Wars will stop when dogma stops.

This will, of course, happen when karma runs over the dogma.

Here's what I came up with on Freemasons, thus far...

Sounds like a bunch of guys that get together in "secret" places, and have "secret" meetings, "secret" ceremonies, discussions, rituals, bargaining, deals, etc.

A "secret society" that has been quite popular. Kind of like saying the "Libertarians" are a "secret society".

They have secrets.

That's all I have so far... Christians say the Freemasons are devil worshippers, so they're scary to christians. Others say the Freemasons either control the world, want to control the world, or they have had a hand in controlling the world...

TheGrobe

I once had a member tell me "We're not a secret society, we're a society with secrets."

I waited on a party of Freemasons. They were a bunch of cheerful old men with hats on. I should have asked them a bunch of questions, 'cause they were drinking!Laughing

Well we are going a tad off topic here, It started with who "invented" Chess and now its turned into an Ancient history picture show. Persia at this point is basicly the Islamic Rep. of Iran. So its a case of "what have you done for me lately" and this is what it has become:

If I had to choose between Ahmadinejad and the last eight presidents of the United States, I'd choose Ahmadinejad

Iran is one of the most interesting, and influential countries on earth!

 Then move there....case closed.

Me, I am staying put here in the good old US of A. a country I was born in and a country I have served. A country I will die defending. a country I will some day lay my dead body in. Good luck in Iran.

Patriotic American with the word "war" in his name, and an image of a wolf as his display picture.

How cliché!

 Correct= Patriotic American.

Incorrect= Its not a wolf, its an extinct marsupial called a Tasmanian tiger(Thylacinus cynocephalus), its not a dog or a wolf. Sorry. I used it too show its beauty and how man can destroy. Its kind of a tribute. Now the name CrecyWar has to do with a book I am writing about the 14th century 100 Years War-(I am very surprised you didn't recognise the name of a famous battle between YOUR COUNTRY England and France). Its a novel. I'll let you know when its for sale, then you can do some reading.

I'm looking forward to an age in which nationalism, racism, religion, and so forth are all considered retro and only studied for amusement and historical value.

Name one war the USA started if you can. Maybe the civil war to end slavery but that doesn't count as it was USA shooting at USA.

Why is it ok for other people to shoot at the USA but when the USA shoots back it's the USA's fault, just because we (usually) bring a bigger gun? I mean, if the goal is to prevail you bring the appropriate hardware.

The USA ended World War 2 by defeating evil in Europe and Asia.

Any country that wants to start a war with the USA will likely end up a smoldering ruin and that's ok by me.

But hey I'd much rather make new friends and share a cookie with you, neighbor. Your choice.

Vietnam, the Cold War, the war in Iraq (weapons of mass destruction my arse), the war in 1812...

TheGrobe

Not to mention the American Revolutionary War...

Don't know that I'd count the cold war.  Thankfully that's a war no-one started.
