Why am I stuck at 500 rating in Rapid?

Nah it works, most people at his level can't defend their hanging pieces, let alone a checkmate
It does not. 8 out of 10 times (With the Fried Liver as an example):
1- White wins 2-5 games.
2- Black plays literally anything except for 2.Nc6.
3- White, having no other plan, tries to play the Fried Liver anyway.
4- Black kicks around white's attackers with time.
5- Black has a large lead in development and an overall better position.
6- Black ends up dominating the middlegame and winning the game.
...and so on.
With other "traps", it's even worse. I doubt your proposal would get past 800-1100.
If you want to Improve
so here are few simple suggestions i can give -
1) try atleast 20-25 puzzles daily (keep leveling up)
2) practice mid game and end game tactics (for end game practice try this)
3) play short time games to improve your accuracy like bullet and blitz , these gives you more practice in less time and also teaches you to manage time
4) play atleast 4-5 games daily , but also analze them
5) try taking lessons available on chess.com and chessable for practice
6) try making a friend of similar rating so that you can guide and motivate each other ( This one is not necessary )
