It might be due to the pressure and desire to win during over-the-board tournaments - in my opinion, it's a completely different game compared to playing online. Besides, if you want to climb the online chess ratings, you simply need to play, solve puzzles, and study openings. Sooner or later, you'll start seeing results.
BECAUSE THERE not actually 1200, their closer too 1600, and so on. This site is full of fake beginners. Nearly everyone here has years of play and or professional play or are lightly cheating with a engine. Just like they use engine for 1 or 2 very important moves, so its impossible to detect, so the honest player will lose. Its toxic here and most of the players are also toxic...

You will find people here at 850 elo in 3 min blitz regularly putting up 90% accurate chess in 40 move games and theres a huge number of people who will call it normal... Its all bs..

Chess.com has a different rating system than OTB. They are two different rating currencies. Having a certain rating on Chess.com does not necessarily mean you’ll have the same rating OTB.

Because you are not playing.
Nothing is free, and you only deserve the rating you currently have. If you want a higher rating, whether online or OTB, you need to put in the work.
So I'm trying to reach 1500, and today I just played 4 rated games won 2 and lost two. This is super weird bcuz I'm over 1200 uscf on once was 1300. This translates to around 1300-1400 chess. Com rating. I've beaten and drew 1400s uscf otb but for some reason the 1200s I play on chess. Com are very good.
