The move you are trying isn't legal? The software thought you dropped the piece where it couldn't go (not centered very well for example)? Trying to premove and you don't have premove turned on in your settings?
Just some possibilities. Hard to say really.

Maybe someone could draw a painting with the board and pieces on it, marking the piece to move with a red circle. Then people could understand whether it's a legal move or not.
No, this is something else. The piece goes back to the original square while I am dragging it to its destination. This is especially frustrating under time pressure.

Hello. Sometimes when i drag a piece by a mouse and release it on a square it jumps back to initial position. It's very annoying in bullet, especially if a piece has a long rout. I don't remember such problem with other sites.
