Why Play USCF Rated Chess.com Games

Hello. Can you help me understand why I would want a USCF Online Rating? If I have an official USCF rating does it do anything for me? I have difficulty playing OTB in my area and would like an official rating, but not sure why. Rephrasing the question, who would ever look at the USCF Online Rating other than myself? Maybe the rating would be considered more stable since I am playing serious players vs random internet junkies? Otherwise it seems the chess.com rating is probably more meaningful.  Thanks for any insight.

Does anyone see a benefit? With chess.com playing more games a day, is the USCF even relevant anymore?

If you want to play longer games, in a competitive setting, OTB rated tourneys are where you go. OTB chess is alive and well. Not as popular as it has been in the past, but still popular. There are USCF rated games played offline all of the time. There is still a place for rated play.

As to an Online rating for US Chess, that is one more pool where you can play other competitive players and get an official rating for it.
