You play not against human, you play against CPU!

Hello,

i won my last 10 games against the user "fhr". Every time checkmate after 5 moves, and always the same moves by the user "fhr"! Furthermore, the user didn`t answer my question in the chat.

It MUST be a computer, and not a human.

CoachConradAllison

Did you lose in five moves or win in five moves, if you won it was not a computer, if you lost then it is possible, but not certain,

fabriziosky

If you think it s a computer just report it.

let chess com do is job , they won't let you down

asampedas

Er...when I looked into your opponent's live chess profile, there was no game which had you as an opponent with a number 5. The number of moves were all double digits.

But on your own live chess profile, I don't see that.

It has to be a bug.

CoachConradAllison

A computer would not lose like that, just a normal person.

EternalChess

Your inflating..

that player is rated 1600 live.. he aint stupid enough to get mated in 5 moves.., hes a stronger player then me and yet i could last longer then 20 moves..,

Its obvious your inflating, your trying to hide it by making him look like a "computer", im gonna report you, good luck.

CoachConradAllison

SerbianChessStar, what are you exactly accusing him of?

maximus_aurelius

@SerbianChessStar:

I am not sure what you mean with "inflating", but when you think i am a cheater it wouldnt be ok. The behaviour of the user "fhr" let me guess that its a computer. There are another members which play like a computer. If i ask questions in the chat, the answers doesn`t match. Whats going on?

CoachConradAllison

He/she was probably just trying to annoy you. It would have to be a very bad computer.

batgirl

That is so odd maximus_aurelius.
I'd never seen anything quite like it.
Your opponent is a premium member so it wouldn't seem she'd be playing silly games with you.
I can't imagine a program, even a lousy one, playing such an opening even once, let alone 5 times. And your opponent is rated high enough that she would never play such an opening even once either.
It's totally baffling to me.

Hi maximus,

it looks like many of the games were played on the same day, would it be possible to post links to some of the games where your opponent had the White pieces?

Woah.

That was a brilliant endgame.

I haven't looked at the games quoted, however I can tell you that older very weak computers will definately play completely awful moves and repeat the same openings moves over and over again, even if it is mate in 5.  So, if the op is telling the truth he probably is playing a older very weak computer.  Or a chess program without an opening book set on the weakest level.  I've seen this kind of thing b4 when I had old chess computers in the 70's and 80's.  Even "tiger chess" on my palm will play the same thing over and over again if it's on the weakest setting.

immortalgamer

It is very interesting because I've played a number of games against this player and found her to be somewhat strong, but more importantly VERY fast (and for quick this is the point)!  I could believe it is a computer program playing the games set to a lower level like a chessmaster personality.

What I do know is that some computer programs like the Chess Titans on Vista has a bug where I can beat it in 13 moves everytime.  What would be interesting is to see if another player could use this same opening tactic and beat her the same way.
