2022 West Orange Chess Club Mohan Nayak Memorial Tournament

5SS (one round per week), G/75 d5.  EF: $20.00.  Reg: 6:00-6:45 on October 18 (or in advance). Late entries permitted with a maximum of two rounds missed (will receive a 1/2 point bye for each round missed).
Dates: October 18, 25, November 15, 22, 29.  No round on November 1 and November 8. 
 
 
 
Rds: 7:00 on all dates.  Two 1/2 point byes allowed in any round.  Head TD Steve Lorimor must know of the bye request by 4:00 of the day of the round.  Late requests may or may not be honored and if not honored one may receive a forfeit loss for that round if they do not show up for their scheduled game.  Byes for Round Five must be requested before the start of Round FourOnce a bye is requested, the request is binding.  Please either email head TD Lorimor at sdlorimor@comcast.net or call/text him at 908-286-0720 with all bye requests.  USCF membership required (must be valid through to the end of the tournament - November 29).  Pairings will not be announced in advance in any round. 
 
 
 
Prizes will be awarded based on the number of participants and their distribution across the tournament.  Approximately 80% of entry funds will be awarded as prizes.  Ties for prizes will be evenly split.

The Toby Katz Community Center is the building located directly behind the pond at Degnan Park in West Orange. We also have a second address: 7 Alisa Drive, West Orange, NJ 07052. The location is the same as that of 650 Pleasant Valley Way.
