Wow - every move seemed logical, as if the game played itself...
A Most Awesome Checkmate, can you solve it?
Very nice! Even if I chose the wrong places to move, I was picking the correct pieces each time, playing it somewhat naturally. Very interesting.
Wow, that was a fantastic job you did! Now I just need to make sure I don't end up at the business end of your chess set! haha
Heh, yeah everything worked out for me, just magically. I think he put his queen in a dangerous spot.
The reason this puzzle is so great, is because it's based on an actual live chess game; hence why so natural :). I think the best puzzles are REAL chess games, not ones where you make it up :P.
After I played it, this puzzle made sense. But there is no way on earth I would ever play a game like this. I'm a chess idiot, and it frustrates me no end.
@ e2e4 - 2. ...dxc4 definitely leads into the Queen's Gambit ACCEPTED. 2. ...e6 would be the QGD.
@ eXecute - I'm sure you felt really good when you played this game, but something like this would typically be in "Game Showcase," not "More Puzzles."
The thing is, checkmate puzzles are such that the side to move will achieve checkmate no matter what the other side plays. Since Black could have played a multitude of other moves early on to avoid checkmate, it's not what many of us would call a puzzle. Nevertheless, good job on achieving a quick mate on Live Chess.
Sure felt like a puzzle to me, not knowing how it was going to play out. And it wasn't the most obvious "moves" either.
well, I did have to try like 15 times on each move until i got what opening moves you played, if you want to post a puzzle you should post it from the position from which mate or loss is forced, as it's obvious that just because you played the queens gambit you won the game... puzzles must be forced in nature, as if they are not, they are flawd.
if you post something like this, well, be aware that it's simply a cool game and not a puzzle, because, really, think of the meaning of the word "puzzle" and you'll figure out why.

You're not listening. This isn't a puzzle, since a puzzle assumes BEST play from the opponent. Some of your moves are moves that are not best, but they worked because of the responses, which is not the idea of a puzzle.
Just like if I posted a 'puzzle' that consisted of 1.e4 e5 2.Bc4 Nc6 3.Qh5 Nf6 4.Qxf7#, most people likely would not solve it on the first try, since the moves aren't optimal.
Use Queen's Gambit Opening.
It is approximately 13 moves. See if you can check mate this guy in such a short time in such a complex opening.
