This position just arose in a game I played here -- I was lucky to save the draw.

Ahhh, with check.  I completely missed it, that's why.

What's worse is that I missed it three times since we drew by threefold repetition.

He was probably thinking he would lose his new queen to Rh1+ not realising he would promote with check. It's not hard for some of us to overlook the obvious Smile

Yeah, I was delighted with the draw from that position -- now I'm a little disheartened that I missed the win.  It makes for an even better puzzle though...:
