Wow I just saw it.. Qg2. Nvm I'm stupid.
Can anyone see why this solution was wrong?
Topic. I'm white and it was my first move.
I've gone over what feels like every move black could make and I can't find a single way black can avoid checkmate here. I'm assuming that either I missed something or there's a quicker way to checkmate.
Qxg2#
I think you take the rook with bishop and if kings takes, Qd6 Ke8, Qe7#, so you won an entire rook for free
The reason this move is wrong is because black can take the bishop with the queen and there is no checkmate left

1. Bxd8 Qxg2#
it doesn't work

After Qf6, if black takes the bishop with the rook, there's Qe7#. If black takes the bishop with the queen, there is Qxf7#.
But then black can play Rd7 if you play Qf6 so zi think this this is why it's wront
If black plays Rd7, there is Rc8+ and black would have to block with Rd8. Then Rxd8 would be checkmate.
