Can you solve another Mate in 2?

My bad. I should have clarified it was in the OP

Arisktotle

Ah, I see now! You changed your first diagram when I looked for your last!

OK, it's clarified! I have another slightly more spacious suggestion with the same effect. Since Nc5 is no longer needed to double protect e6 - Bd5 has taken over that role - you can move it to the mirror position on f2 where it covers the same vital squares. The wK can then be safely hidden on a1:

Thanks! That is indeed better than mine

Well, it's still your creation. As Rocky noted the e.p. move is a nice extra touch to this theme. Also, the whole setting is extraordinary light (Meredith+1) considering that you cannot avoid adding black pieces if you wish to demonstrate many different captures on the same square. A conflict of interest and the final outcome is well balanced!

@Arisktotle thanks for the f2-g5 knight placement idea!

There's an issue with the new 12-piece version, unfortunately – the 2.Qxd5 threat isn't stopped by the e.p. capture, so it doesn't really count as a variation...

Thanks happy.png I didn't know that. I'll work on it

Having a Meredith is nice but not important enough to sacrifice content for. In general lightness is appreciated whatever the numbers of units involved. It's more about showing your skill in getting the maximum functionality from the minimum amount of invested material.
