This is the first in a series of combination puzzles which I will put on this forum daily for the next month or so. See if you can find the correct combinations, as masters did all those years ago. Good luck!

As soon as white leaves the e1 square undefended, won't black just play ... Qe1# ?  The puzzle would proceed:

1. Rh3 g6

2.  Bxg6 hxg6

3. Qg4 Qe1#

Edit: Hmm... how did you manage to type b3 instead of e1? Smile

kf6 on the fourth move is better but it leads to black having to sac the queen to survive in the stockfish line. You can analyse it or just believe me.
