I've decided to make a "Daily Puzzle" that will be posted every day I can get to a computer (this won't be posted at midnight like the other one). This puzzle is done in 2 moves. Enjoy. This has two different endings.

Hello!

I guess the other solution you're talking about is:

ok more than 2. That was my other one

Suppose white chooses not to cooperate and plays Kb2?

daxelson it just makes the game one move longer

Ha! Ha! Dear k10nd1k3, the purpose was not to find a way to make the white wins... The puzzle was to solve it in two moves and daxelson shows the 2nd solution you show was not valid.

But that's fine. Keep going and keep post puzzle. It's good for opening our minds!

Sorry, but that means your puzzle is invalid.  You specified "2 moves". And on top of that, this is not a mate in 3, either.

Please understand that I completely agree that black is in the superior position and should win the game. But my point is that you specified that this was a "mate in 2" puzzle, which it is not, and then said it was a "mate in 3" puzzle, which it also is not.

Well with the Rc8 Ka3 line you've shown in your movelist, the next move Qa4 would be checkmate.

[I'm going to assume that you were asleep when you wrote this, since the timestamp shows as "1:55 am".]

Qa4+ is met by KxQ. The black pawn at b3 is advancing towards the bottom of the board, not the top, and therefore does not protect the black queen.

In any event, that's the fourth black move, meaning that this is neither a 2-move puzzle nor a 3-move puzzle.

So explorechess's is the only solution.  A legit mate in 3 is

editted version, originally got board reversed

1...b2+

2Kc2 b8=N+

3Kd1 Rd8++

Oh right yeh sorry, i thought the pawns were going up for a moment =P and the times wrong by the way, when i typed that, it was like 11 o'clock am =P

It is a mate in 2/3 puzzle if you don't move 1. Ke2.
