Chesscrazy127, that's a good example of a smothered mate, but isn't checkmate as white can play 2.Kxa2 and avoid the mate.

if Black's King captures the queen, White's Rook to the h file is mate.

linus9113

got one I made up:              6 move mate. I call it ''stairway to heaven''. There are two ways, and I decided to do this, it is more entertaining.

linus9113

another:

though this is mate in 11.

linus9113

Easy one. You get one extra move and you need to use it wisely. Get the fastest checkmate you can!

linus9113

I change the names. here are new names

1. Another rook, another Shortcut

2. Stairway to Heaven

3. One extra Move

linus9113

Heres another. it's called ''Forcing Stalemate''.

BlackKnight12

how do you do fen or pgn format. Some one help me

gxtmf1

No checkmate, just a forceful push to the endgame.

Uhhh...okay. What is this....bribe-mate?

Just a few "puzzles" I'd like to submit for consideration, all of which are actual gameplay from myself here on chess.com

Devout monk:

In your second puzzle, why not 5.dxc3?

Dakota_Clark

In my 2nd puzzle I put 5. cxd3 only because that's not how my opponent played it, though it was definitely the better move.

i really like yours also vitali. The 2nd one is longer, but I really love the first. So beautiful, so tight. Gotta love a queen sac. ;)

These 2 puzzles are made from my games. In the 1st one i changed the possition of one of white's chess pieces. In the 2nd one it was really the position in one of my games.

1st puzzle: mate in 4, level of difficulty: medium.

2nd puzzle: mate in 12, level of difficulty: hard.

In your second one, 10.Qxh7#

tornadofdoom in Devout_Monk's 2nd puzzle if 5.dxc3 the continuation will be 5...Qxb3+, 6.Kc1, Qxa3+, 7. Kd2, Qa2+, 8. Ke1, Qxg2 and black will eventually win the game. The question is why cxd3? If not that move white would probably win because he had extra material. White probably would take the 1st decoy (exchanging rook with knight), but the 2nd one was too suspetious.

Vitali, I received and read your inbox message. I don't exactly see a question you may have posed for me to respond to. Could you please be more clear as to what you are asking? Also, you're alternate line you mentioned above would be very nice, had white taken cxd3.

chess506

is it just me, or is half the comments puzzles?
