Did I trigger harder puzzles by restarting the timer?

I’ve been going through Chess.com’s puzzle levels a second time (now at bronze pawn, 250K+ points). Most puzzles were tactical—forcing moves to win material or deliver mate—and I was solving most of them in about a minute. But to get the 15 bonus points for solving quickly, I started using a trick: exiting and re-entering the puzzle to restart the timer. That worked for a while…

Then suddenly the puzzles changed. Now they’re much more positional—quiet moves, multiple good options, and much less obvious tactics. I feel like I still need more reps on the basic tactical patterns. Did I trigger a difficulty jump somehow? And is there any way to switch back to the more tactical-style puzzles?

The puzzle algorithm is the same regardless. The only thing that impacts it is the puzzle Difficulty setting.
