Not sure if Rf8 is right, but maybe there is some combo to deflect the queen where white either goes down big in material or gets mated?

The book gives the solution of Qxe7+ ... but I looked at it, maybe I'm just out of it today, but isn't Nf3+ better?
Nf3+ (Qxf3 QxQ and rook is protected) Kxg4 2. Rg1+ Kxf3 3. Rc1+ gets the queen...
I must be missing something, someone point it out. The only reason why I can see Qxe7 being good is to force a draw. Which actually seems to be a good idea here. N + p for queen doesn't make up white's deficit.
