I did it, it was a puzzle

How could it be a puzzle if the moves are listed?happy This would fit better in Game Showcase.

Next time do not include all the game moves, and remember to check the puzzle box.happy

Because after 1. Re1 black did not need to allow 2. Qxf8+ to lead to mate.

It's so annoying when a chess puzzle is a mate in 3 and the computer marks your moves right after only 2 moves. Does anyone else with that mate in n moves puzzles would let you play n moves, not n-1 or n-2 moves?

If there are multiple mates in one on the third move the puzzle will stop after the second move so the solver will not get marked wrong for a correct mating move by choosing the wrong one. Yes, it is annoying and a dilemma for puzzle creators. But it avoids the complaints asking why they failed with a completely correct move.

Thank you Bryan. A good point. In the future, coders will likely overcome this issue. For now though, rather than feel frustrated, I can understand. Also, if I want I can look for multiple equal routes to victory.

It is surprising that Chess.com has not figured it out or allowed it yet. I know of at least one other site where the multiple mates in one are all accepted.
