That's an interesting puzzle, I almost certainly would've taken the queen with my rook in a real game instead of finding mate.

So this diagram is correct?
It is actually a mate in 5 puzzle. Because white can play 4 King a8. But the mating mechanism is very interesting.
The puzzle is not difficult but nice.

Maybe the puzzle isn't that difficult, when you already know that there is a mate to find. But atleast for me, the queen and rook at c8 & b8 make this attack vector seem almost pointless...
PS. How the heck is it possible to end the quote and write normally after it??
This position happened in real game, but there was a missed mate that I couldn't see. Can you spot it?
I have played quite a lot of puzzles, but this kind of a mate has never come up in any of them. Hope it is interesting

PSS: Dont know why it is wrong side up. Black was supposed to be down. If someone can tell me how to rotate the board I will. In the editor it was correctly.
