In one of my chess games where I played white after 13 moves came following position:
or 14. Qe4 and 15. Qe8#
fdsbh you are mistaken! If white go 14.Qe4 then black answer 14 ... Qe6 and I don't see the checkmate on the next move.
Nice! I believe Ne5 works for the same reasons.
Ne5 can be countered by Qe6.
