I call mine the edge! 1E 2D 3G 4E again. It's not a great one by any means, but at least it's original and confused my 1st 2 opponents. It never said to make a USEFUL or even halfway decent one. Take it for what it is. opening

Those main purpose why I thought of the frying pan variation is it catches opponents off guard without being bad, and its also just funny. One of the main points, is if they take our d4 pawn, we play Nf3, and take back with our knight later.

I was thinking about actually playing this in an upcoming competition in my local chess club, but I realized none of our 12 MEMBERS even play the botvinnik carls.
