PS:This incredible problem requires no less than 4 consecutive underpromotions

Every underpromotion to a bishop threatens an inmediate mate, so all black moves are nearly forced
(or else an even shorter mate takes place), till the final bishop cannot be captured and at long last gives mate !

Notice that promoting a queen instead of a bishop would leave black stalemated after the rooks are sacrificed
giving delaying checks to the white king, so a mate in 5 would not be possible.

Only the last pawn need be underpromoted -- the other three could have been Queens without issue.

 this is what happens if you promote to queen.

3. Kxd3 is a blunder -- it should continue 3. Qxd3, although to be fair checkmate is then somewhat more than 5 moves off after 3... Bxf7.
