This happened in a tournament match against an australian guy.

It took me little long time to find it out, but I did at last!

Hope you enjoy it !

In Chessmaster 10's version, doesn't 2.Qg2 win it?!  Or 2.Qh1?!  The computer can't have missed that - so what am I missing?

I'd also play 1... Bxf3

6 Qd2 resists so it's not a mate. 1...Bf3 is better, it threatens 2 unstoppable mates lol

The whole "puzzle" is nonsense. The given "solution" doesn't work, and there is mate-in-5.

Also, this is a 18 year old topic that was resurrected by a notorious spammer (kaissyxxl).

It's not good, it's complete nonsense. The given solution doesn't work, and there is another solution that does. Weird the you didn't notice.

The solution you played is not mate in 6, Qd2 stops the mate, I tried on your puzzle Qe2+ first which is one forced mate in 6 and then I played Bxf3 which is the other mate in 6 but both don't work on your puzzle
