Mate in two
Is this from a real game?
I don't know why, but it seems to me so much more appealing if I know it is from a real game.
Or, "Mate in two" is a common type of puzzle - everybody knows, usually they are not from real games?
I am relatively new to chess, forgive my niavety.
1. Nd6
1... if c or e pawn captures or advances, 2.Ba5# or 2.Bg5# respectively. if Na6 or Nc6, then 2. Nf7#
the first time i did a puzzle without it moving! yay!
Correct answers!
My intention was to have a discussion rather than people just checking the solution.
And Garymossu, this is not from a real game. I had the idea of a puzzle with few pieces and where the only correct first move would be to place a piece where it could be taken in several different ways.
Thanks for taking the time to solve it!
