Mating with minor pieces

You missed the quickest mate (in 7 instead of 8); the knight should be aiming for another destination.Here's one possibility of several:

So I did. Whenever trying to force mate with a knight and bishop, I've always aimed to trap the king behind the bishop and king like this and mate with the knight, after forcing it into a corner the same colour as the bishop's squares. I wonder if the way you found would be possible in a corner the bishop doesn't control. Also, it seems a bit silly that you can't give a puzzle multiple "correct" solutions when a piece could take different routes to the same square.
