New Puzzle Mode Missing

When I try puzzles in the app, it shows me how to solve and then crashes. Repeated this three or four times and then did my solving in the browser.

Supposedly something is new in puzzles. Any news anywhere about what?

There is the Puzzle Journey feature and the first puzzle has a tutorial and it should only run in the first one. If you're seeing issues in the app, make sure you're on the newest version.

I am in the newest version. It worked this morning after crashing multiple times yesterday.

I had become attached to the graph at the bottom. Change is not always good, especially when the main purpose is to add more features that do not improve the training value of something I value.

I’ll get used to it now that it works.

If staff reads this, may I request that when rolling out major changes, they should write an article that explains simply what is new and what got eliminated. That would smooth out some transitions for us geezers.

You can disable the new feature by clicking the settings icon and toggling off Collect Puzzle Points

I believe there was a minor issue so it was rolled back. Should start rolling out again soon.

@martin_stahl ... was it on desktop they roll back or iphone ... as I have on iphone (dont like it, dont need it but have it on iphone) however said what about desktop I do not have it on desktop nor do my students? Is or was it rolled out for desktop?

It's available on both iOS and Android apps. It being rolled out to the website as well but may take a little time before everyone has it

@martin_stahl thus what you are saying is the deskop PC does not have this yet correct?

@martin_stahl ... as well I could really care less about this update as how great chess.com is ... i wish they focus on the loop holes in puzzles vs. this silly stuff ... users can refresh their screen and start SAME puzzle again and gain huge rating per the time they sovle it in seconds ... again by refresh the sreeen! ... there are two diff. devoplers cell and desktop ... CELL does not allow this ... deskptop does! I have ask for the cell dev. team to sycn with desktop but yet no response therein all desktop users can take ten years to look at puzzlel then refresh screen adn slove it in 3 seconds or less ... very sad when I offere prizes to my students in puzzle ... thus some may say why then they per say cheat! ... ill tell you why they are kids / humans! and while most wont there is a tempation ... YOU ALL TELL ME! have any of you in your life time in any situation every been tempted ???? Yeah thought so ! Chess.Com please fix this!!

Hey Martin Well it was working on my PC yesterday are you telling me it shut down and will be back soon if so thank you! Really enjoy the new puzzle method would really want it back

Correct. It's in Beta and a subset of other members may have it and it should start rolling out site wide soon.

The coding between apps and website is fundamentally different. That said, staff are aware of that possibility and likely will have that loophole fixed at some point

@martin_stahl yes I know is why i ask in support to have desktop team sync with cell phone team as the development of any working app can be that of same in desktop ... cant wait till that is fixed
