It is a nice problem. I think you should recheck your solution. Without giving it away, the threat of the first move is to move to another square with check. That file for move two is wrong. Also, the move with "otherwise" is also wrong since it doesn't list the piece.

Good one, thanks for posting! We have a reciprocal pin between Queen and Rook on the 5th line.Complete solution:
1.Nd1 (threats 2.Ne3#) and now black defenses:
1... exd1 or e1Q 2.Rf2#(double check)
1...Rxc5(countercheck) 2.Rxc5#(double check)
1...Rd5(creating a flight e5 for black King but interfering Bc6 line) 2.Rxe2#
1...Bd5(unpins Re5,but also unpins Qc5) 2.Qf8#
1...d5(complex move:unpins black Rook and open Rc7 line,but unpins Qc5
and shut the Nc6 line) 2.Qf2#
Good game!

Thanks notmtwain! Corrections now made. Think I was a bit sleepy or in a rush or something when I posted the problem on here...

That's wonderful winterberger, thankyou - a far better explanation than mine!
I'll admit that the final three lines that you give here had not even occurred to me, which is very poor on my part. Thanks very much for taking it further.
Can anyone add to this, or has winterberger said it all?
I stole this recently from the paper. It's a jewel. My heartfelt thanks to the composer for such an elegant problem!
"White to play and mate in two against any Black defence."
