Puzzle 2.

Interesting puzzel from one of my games. Black should have tried to force a draw through repetition.

difficult to understand the end!!

When your King was on h3 and his Knight checked you, you could have played Rxf2. If Bxf2, Qxf2 and the Queen is still trapped.

I think you need to look over this puzzle again. 4. Ng3 from what I see is a complete blunder, not a brilliancy.

After 4. Ng3??, Black plays instead 4. ...Qxh4+, and the resulting line leads to a clear advantage for Black, materially and positionally. (5. Kg2 Qh2+ 6. Kf1 Ne3+ 7. Qxe3 Bxe3 8. Rf3 Qg1+)

This also tells me that 1. h4 wasn't so brilliant either. After a quiet move like Qh5, there really isn't anything left for White except to try and hold off a potential attack by Black.

In other words, it looks to me like you got lucky.

Edit: A friend of mine, who is just under 2000 USCF, saw the position and pretty much agreed, adding that he thinks that 1. h4 is just terrible.

7... Bxf2 and you lose a queen for a knight

CM, after 350 seconds analyzing, recommended 1. Qg3. After a number of moves, this results in exchanges, weakened black pawn structure, pressure on blacks king and elimination of pressure on whites king.

Actually, White wins a knight after 7. Qxf2 Bxf2 8. Nxh5.
