Same here re -1000 or so. I also just got a +2 on a puzzle I fully solved.

They re-rated every puzzle and changed the ratings accordingly. But apparently they didn't change the stupid scoring system. So now everyone can start the same thing again...
That's inflation pf all system :smart. What didn't change is your rank.

Well, it will be interesting to see how this new scoring scheme looks going forward from here. I have often been annoyed when a 900 rated puzzle is far more difficult for me than a 1800 rated puzzle.

Geez. I'm in favor of trying to make puzzle ratings more relevant to actual playing strength in tactical positions, but what is with these people continuing to just drop major stuff with no warning and no explanation? And by "warning" I mean warning here on chess.com, where every one of us can see it, and not on some social media platform that most of us don't use. Not only is it confusing to see 700 points disappear with no explanation, but then to have to waste time searching for why.

I noticed the same issue. My puzzle rating dropped from about 3100 to 1991, even though I solved several puzzles correctly today. It seems there was a sudden change in the rating system, but I only realized it once I reached 1900. It would be great if someone from the support team could clarify what caused this change. Thanks!

It was needed to be honest. They broke something in puzzle ratings and it no longer meant anything. For example, I was able to reach a puzzle rating of 4500 suddenly out of nowhere, which is absolutely ludicrous given my level of play.
While I'm sad I lost my juicy rating, at least a high puzzle rating will be an indication of true skill level now (I mean, hopefully it will be lol)

The rating difference caps out at 1500
Everyone below gains rating
And everyone above loses rating
So now we all have the same rating with completely different skill levels
And now gaining puzzle rating is almost impossible
+2 for a correct puzzle but -20 for a wrong puzzle

I had 3300+ rating and now it’s 1650+. If it went -1000, why I have -1650
Glad someone posted this. My puzzle rating has dropped from 3521 to 2026. Not sure how to include the rating graph., but these figures are more realistic.
