Game from 1920 between Edwin Adams and Carlos Torre

Deflection Galore here!! This was taken from the "game" mentioned above, and I use quotes because it's quite controversial, since Edwin Adams only has two games in the database (both against Carlos and both were a brillianct game by each player) it is suspected that these games were pre arranged. Nevertheless its still quite the masterpiece imo!!

About Carlos Torre, 16 at the time, he turned out to be Mexico's first GM!! However he actually retired from chess at 21 due to mental illnesses sad.png

Torre got his revenge against Lasker - the famous windmill game. Just before he stopped I suppose.

Thats true.. at least he made his way into history books several times in spite of his short chess career

Why checkmate in 5 moves when you can do it in 3 in 4 different ways?

Yea these are definitely interesting but i find it cooler when the combination is the only way to win!
