Whichsoever knight you mean, I think black's bishop is better to go to d7.

Bishop moves anywhere other than e6 ...Rg8 check
Check on Rg8 will do nothing, because black king will escape to Kb7, since Bd7 will be his stonewall.
Kf2 still loses to ... Bd7, ... Kb7
